Tips For Great Eyeshadow Application

script>

Improve your overall makeup look by learning the proper way to apply eyeshadow. Here are a number of tricks for good eyeshadow application. Select the correct color. There are a few things to consider when picking the shade of eyeshadow to use. A lot of makeup artists like to match eyeshadow to the eye's color - even if they're blue eyes. This has the effect of popping the eyes. A contrasting color of eyeshadow makes the eyes stand out in a different way.

You can use either method to find the correct eyeshadow color. Your eye color can give you clues on what eyeshadow color is right. Find one with a good base. An important factor in choosing the right shade of eyeshadow is its base. Your makeup will remain on for longer if you buy eyeshadow that has a primer for its base. One great eyeshadow that stays on all day long is from Mac Paints. Put the eyeshadow on.

A nice rounded shape on the eye takes only a few seconds. Beginning at your lash line moving just slightly past your crease you need to apply either a light shade of eyeshadow or highlighter completely across your eyelid. Also do it all the way up to your eyebrows. After that you should put a middle shade of eyeshadow upon your eyelid, also adding a bit under your bottom eyelashes - (not too chunky).

Then put a bit on the outer edge of your eye, creating a slightly darker area there. Blending in. In order to get a satisfactory result it is important to blend the eye shadow. If your eyeshadow has two or more colors (as almost everyone does), it is necessary to blend the shades together. There shouldn't be a defined line which distinguishes two differing shades of eyeshadow.

A small brush to blur the line between two shades should suffice, or even your finger. Use only highlighter on the brow line. As long as it isn't too dark, you can fill eyeshadow up to the brow line. Just use a highlighter or light shade.

Darker shades in this area will be too dramatic (unless you happen to be a model). For brightness you can add a touch of white. It's a nice touch to use a bit of white shadow at the very end, (another option is white eye pencil) to the crease of your eye, near the tear duct. The eyes will shine. Finish the look with some eye liner. The final step is to apply a bit of eyeliner.

Draw some on your top and lower eyelid, right at the eyelash. When applying eyeliner, the top line should go from one corner to the other. On the bottom however you start in the middle of your lid and draw outward. When you have completed this, you have applied eye makeup on properly.
